Provide an engaging and academically rigorous math program for students grades 6-12. Communicate clearly in giving and receiving oral/written instructions. Demonstrate adaptability in relations with co-workers. Exhibit an accepting and non-threatening attitude toward students. Ability to appropriately manage behavior. Create an appropriate educational setting which will motivate students. Implement appropriate curriculum as dictated by the NMPED and the local school board. Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials appropriate for the grade level and subject assigned and aligned with the New Mexico Standards and Benchmarks. Present lessons utilizing techniques, methods, and media to meet the diverse student needs in the classroom. Organize the classroom to facilitate maximum learning. Evaluate student academic and social growth, both subjectively and objectively, and record and report results. Participate as a team member in school activities that will enhance the learning and working environment of which you are assigned. Maintain a productive appropriate classroom climate for all students through a consistent, positive, disciplined approach to learning and teaching. Maintain and develop effective communication with parents and the community. Maintain and enhance professional competencies by attending in-service workshops, conferences, and other related education activities. Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities as assigned. Sponsor at least one student activity, coach and/or serve on a school or district standing committee, chaperone at least one evening/afternoon activity. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in any field and State of New Mexico teaching License with Endorsement in Mathematics. |
Salary : $50,000 - $85,575
