Qualifications: |
* New Mexico Public Education Department Middle Teacher License. * Preferred New Mexico Public Education Department Secondary Vocational Tech 7-12. * Must demonstrate willingness to work in a cooperative working environment. * Strong reading, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. |
Responsibilities |
* To instruct technical education classes in building manufacturing and construction. * Supervise student activities related to manufacturing and construction so that the students develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes related to employment in the field. * To provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. * Must be willing to follow all safety protocols. * Other duties as assigned *Physical and Environmental Requirements: The physical demand and work environment described represent the regular requirements to meet the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities who may require them to perform the essential job functions. a. Required to lift or carry classroom supplies, textbooks, furniture, and equipment to a minimum of 35 pounds; b. Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion; c. Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis; d. Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading; e. Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise, activity, inclement weather; f. Sitting, walking, standing are a regular requirement; g. Flexibility of bending and twisting at the neck and truck are a regular requirement; h. Occasional travel in school owned or leased vehicles while supervising and assisting students may be required.
