Qualifications: |
* High School Diploma or GED; licensed instructor preferred * Valid New Mexico Coaching licensure or eligibility * NMAA Coaching Certificates required or eligibility * Must demonstrate willingness to work in a cooperative working environment * Strong reading, written, verbal and interpersonal skills * Preference given to certified or classified staff |
Responsibilities |
* Ensures responsibility for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of the coaching of the team under his/her direction. * Enforces all rules of the state and national association as they pertain to cross country * Cooperates with the administration, athletic director, fellow coaches and students to promote the best interests of the entire athletic program. * Teaches advanced skills and strategies of cross country * Combines the abilities of individual students into a team effort with the focus on enthusiastic competition in the spirit of fair play, good sportsmanship and friendship. * Works productively as part of a team * Other duties as assigned |
