What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Rule of Thirds?
Hosts are responsible for providing warm hospitality to guests, managing reservations and walk-in diners, helping to facilitate the flow of service throughout the night, and maintaining a general knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests and directing them to tables
- Working with the Maitre D to accommodate seating for walk in guests
- Aiding with maintenance of a waitlist when necessary
- Communicating table status with guests
What You Bring
- Minimum of 1 years’ front of house experience in a high-volume restaurant
- A positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional hospitality service
- A strong working knowledge of various reservations software
- Flexible work schedules: the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as business permits
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
