Ruleville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking an LPN for the Restorative / Infection Control Nurse position. This is an excellent opportunity for a Restorative / Infection Control Licensed Practical Nurse to work with a great team of dedicated nurses.
The LPN Restorative / Infection Control position is responsible for developing, implementing, tracking and documenting restorative programs for residents to maintain or attain the highest practical level of functioning in accordance with Facility policies and government requirements and regulations.
Summary of Duties for the LPN Restorative position:
Supervises, trains, schedules, evaluates Restorative Nursing Assistants.
Works closely with therapy to create and implement resident restorative programs s upon admission and as needed.
Adjusts and documents changes to resident restorative programs based on periodic evaluations.
Creates and updates restorative care plan with goals for residents participating in restorative program.
Meets routinely with RNAs to plan and direct restorative programs.
Responsible for restorative dining program.
Verifies residents are screened for transfer methods on a quarterly basis. Revises and updates documentation of transfer methods as needed.
Verifies completion of bladder continence assessments upon admission, significant changes in condition and annually to determine potential participation in a restorative bladder program.
Assists Restorative Nursing Assistants as needed and ensures RNAs’
documentation is complete.
Infection Control
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient
interpersonal relations and communicative skills; knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities; decision-making skill; proficient assessment skills; safety techniques; basic computer skills; able to operate various medical and office equipment; auditory and visual skills. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
Experience: Previous work experience in a long term care setting preferred. Supervisory
experience and organizational skills in a long term care setting preferred.
