What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Podcast Manager & Monetization Strategist position at Rumble?
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Audio Podcast Manager & Monetization Strategist to oversee and grow our audio podcast portfolio. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of podcast syndication, promotion, and, most importantly, finding and executing strategies to monetize the audio versions of our podcast library. The ideal candidate will have a passion for content, a strong understanding of the podcast industry, and a proven ability to develop and implement successful revenue-generating strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Podcast Management: Oversee the podcast syndication process (audio-only). Collaborate with hosts, producers, and other teams to ensure high-quality content that aligns with brand voice and audience interests. Manage podcast release schedules and ensure episodes are published on time across platforms. Monitor and analyze podcast performance metrics (downloads, audience engagement, etc.) to track growth and identify areas for improvement.
- Monetization Strategy: Develop and implement monetization strategies for existing podcasts, such as sponsorships, ads, merchandise, subscriptions, and premium content offerings. Build relationships with potential sponsors, advertisers, and partners to generate revenue through podcast placements. Explore and experiment with alternative monetization models, including listener donations, affiliate marketing.
- Audience Growth & Engagement: Implement strategies to grow the podcast audience through social media, email marketing, and cross-promotion. Engage with listeners and build an active community to foster long-term loyalty and advocacy. Analyze audience feedback, listenership trends, and competitor podcasts to refine content and marketing strategies.
- Reporting & Analytics:Provide regular reports on podcast performance, audience growth, and monetization success. Use data insights to refine strategies and improve listener retention and revenue generation. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the podcasting industry.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in podcast production, and/or media management, or content marketing. Proven track record of monetizing digital content or audio platforms.
- Strong understanding of podcasting platforms, advertising networks, and industry trends.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple podcasts.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically about monetization opportunities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for managing relationships with sponsors and partners.
- Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive decisions and track KPIs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with podcast hosting platforms (e.g., Megaphone, Libsyn, Anchor, Podbean)
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media strategies to promote podcasts
- Familiarity with audio editing tools and podcast production software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc.)
