Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is seeking a passionate and dedicated Group Pilates Instructor to lead engaging classes that promote physical fitness, flexibility, and overall well-being in a supportive and welcoming environment. This part-time position is paid by class and offers the opportunity to inspire clients to achieve their personal fitness goals while fostering a love for movement.
As a candidate, a strong background in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Pilates
- BARRE
- Yoga
- HIIT

- Boot Camp
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct group and individual yoga classes, ensuring a safe and effective workout for all participants.
- Educate clients on proper techniques and form to maximize benefits and minimize injury risk.
- Develop class plans that cater to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
- Monitor client progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their fitness goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized studio environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
- Collaborate with other fitness professionals, such as personal trainers and group fitness instructors, to create a cohesive and enriching client experience.
- Demonstrate at least one year of experience teaching in a gym or health club setting.
- Exhibit a passion for fitness and wellness with a solid understanding of anatomy, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
- Possess and maintain certification as an instructor from a recognized organization for each skill-based class taught.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of fitness disciplines, exercise techniques, and related equipment.
- Deliver engaging and effective fitness classes that educate and motivate participants.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse fitness levels and ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with the Wellness Director regarding special events, class schedules, and client reservations.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, providing encouragement and personalized support.
- Ensure the safety and security of the recreation facility by adhering to company policies and maintaining a clean, organized space.
- Carry liability insurance as required.
- Work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on the needs of the facility.
Physical Requirements:
To successfully perform the essential duties of this role, the following physical and communication requirements must be met:
- Engage in moderate physical activity, handling of average-weight objects, up to 50 pounds, and standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others, including speaking, listening, and understanding instructions.
- Read, comprehend, and follow both written and verbal instructions to ensure proper equipment usage and adherence to class procedures.
- Reach overhead, below the knees, and in various directions, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Utilize hands and fingers effectively to handle or operate objects, equipment, or controls necessary for class instruction and facility maintenance.
- Work in an environment that may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring adherence to basic safety procedures.
