RK&K is hiring a Water Resources Engineer skilled in Stream Restoration and Stormwater Management, in Baltimore, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for you to take the next step in your career. On our Environmental Water Resources team, you will work alongside and partner with multidisciplinary professionals in a fast paced, customer driven environment.
This position will involve ecological / stream restoration design, geomorphic studies, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and management of environmental and water resources projects / teams.
Essential Function
- This individual will work with a team of engineers, scientists, GIS professionals, and planners to assist with and lead the development of studies and designs associated with ecological / stream restoration projects
- This position will involve field and office work performing physical field surveys of streams, evaluating existing conditions, conducting functional assessments, developing restoration design solutions, and overseeing environmental restoration construction
- Support environmental restoration design projects including but not limited to stream, floodplain, stormwater management, wetland, and shoreline restoration projects
- Developing design reports, construction plans, specifications and estimates of probable costs
- Conducting watershed evaluations and water quality monitoring in support of stormwater management and ecosystem restoration designs
- Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support ecological restoration projects
- Communicating and collaborating with the project team, project managers, clients, and local communities; and collecting field data (e.g. GPS data collection, geomorphic survey, etc.)
- Manage projects and interact with clients in the delivery of world-class solutions
