At RK&K, we are hiring a Project Delivery Leader in Traffic to support existing clients and support the development of new clients and efforts in our metro Atlanta region. As a senior member of our Atlanta development team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation primarily focused on project across Georgia, both current and new service areas. As a Traffic Project Delivery Leader with RK&K you will support public agencies on traffic analysis and design engineering programs throughout our current and future portfolio.
Essential Function
- Perform a variety of tasks, including transportation planning studies, traffic operations analysis, traffic engineering design plans and preliminary engineering design
- Support projects for all modes of travel including highway, bus, rail, bicycle and pedestrian in urban, suburban and rural environments
- Complete studies and develop high quality traffic reports with limited direction and be able to clearly, professionally present that information to our clients on site and virtually
- Prepare documentation and design plans for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS)
- Utilize traffic analysis / simulation tools to perform traffic modeling and simulations
- Prepare technical reports and presentations
- Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
- Direct project staff and sub-consultants
- Serve as liaison between client and firm
- Execute QA / QC for completeness and accuracy of design work
- Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Traffic Engineering field
