Job Summary
The CDL Rear Load Driver is responsible for servicing customers by collecting and hauling waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. This role requires the ability to operate various types of trucks, with excellent driving and maneuvering skills essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate truck in a safe manner, complying with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers by emptying containers into the truck and hauling to disposal sites.
- Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings, as needed.
- Deliver trash or recycling containers and replace them neatly at the curb or designated area.
- Clean up waste spills and overflows.
- Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completing logs as required.
- Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
- Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body.
Requirements:
- A valid Class B CDL is required.
- A valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one prior to hire is necessary.
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
- No DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the waste industry is a plus.
- High School diploma or better is preferred.
