Job Summary
Delivery Truck Drivers are responsible for the delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling containers to customers.
Delivery Drivers must be able to safely operate the vehicle, as well as provide courteous service to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Operates truck and performs job duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Performs deliveries to outlying locations and/or vendors.
- Completes proper documentation for internal and external customers.
- Conducts pre-trip/post trip inspections and completes logs.
- Maintains and updates drivers log sheets (when required).
- Professional interaction with co-workers, internal and external customers.
- May assist in other projects or areas as needed.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Maintain a PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certification.
- Ability to read and understand a map.
- Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
- General knowledge of mechanics vehicles.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Working Conditions:
- Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
- Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
- Ability to travel between offices, as required.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license (if applicable).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
