Dog Groomer

Run Dog Run provides premium dog care for our dog clients and their owners throughout Kitsap County. We are hiring an experienced dog groomer for our grooming salon. Our dog groomers work with many different dog breeds each day. Therefore, the right candidate not only loves people but is passionate about and understands how to work successfully with all types of dogs. The ideal candidate has completed a training program/ obtained a grooming certification, has references and is willing and able to perform all dog grooming services including brushing, bathing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, nail trimming, hair cuts, color, etc. all while ensuring the safety of each dog client throughout the process.

We use top of the line equipment and grooming products and maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.

Full time groomers are eligible for production bonuses and health, dental and vision benefits.

Responsibilities

• Groom a variety of dog breeds based on customer preferences/ requests.
• Help with brushing and bathing when needed.
• Conduct customer check-in and check-out procedures accurately and thoroughly.
• Maintain a clean working/grooming environment.
• Consult customers on the best way to care for their pups skin and fur in between grooms.

Skills

• 1 years previous grooming experience required.
• Knowledge of breed specific grooming techniques.
• You must be comfortable with all sizes, breeds and ages of dogs, including being able to step in and manage both positive and challenging dog interactions.
• Experience working with customers and solving for customer concerns.
• This is a physically active role. You must be able to stand for multiple hours per day and lift up to 50lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
