RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a User Experience Designer to join for an approximate 3-month project!
While this is a remote position, you must reside in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, California, to be considered.
We are seeking a talented and passionate User Experience Designer with a strong background in UX research to help design intuitive, data-informed web applications for multi-channel ecommerce management. In this role, you’ll work on innovative solutions that empower retailers and manufacturers to efficiently manage their inventory, customer-facing websites, and sales performance.
You’ll be responsible for creating user-centered designs that enhance usability and business outcomes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align user needs with product strategy. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and excels in translating insights into actionable design solutions.
As a User Experience Designer, You Will
- Create detailed process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design mockups to effectively communicate interaction behaviors and design intent.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define requirements and inform product development through research insights.
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to evaluate design effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations and design iterations.
- Present design concepts and research findings to stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather feedback and build alignment.
- Contribute to the development of UX best practices and design standards across the organization.
- Stay current on ecommerce trends, design innovations, and emerging technologies.
- Deliver high-quality design documentation and ensure research outcomes directly support business and user goals.
As an Applicant, You Bring
- 5 years of industry experience in UX design and research for web or software applications.
- Proven ability to conduct and apply qualitative and quantitative user research to influence product direction.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions across responsive web applications.
- Proficiency with Figma and other industry-standard design and prototyping tools.
- Deep understanding of web-based information architecture, usability principles, and interaction design.
- Experience conducting user interviews and synthesizing qualitative data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; able to clearly articulate design rationale across audiences.
- Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Ability to work effectively with highly technical teams and across time zones. Front-end prototyping skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are a plus.

Compensation
Pay Range: $60-$67.00 (Hourly)
The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
Benefits:
Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
