Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing human resource functions to support the organization’s strategic objectives. This role includes talent management, compliance, payroll oversight, employee relations, and policy implementation while ensuring legal compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager serves as a key advisor to leadership and acts as the primary HR representative for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices to align with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Manage HR audits and reports, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee retention data.
- Stay updated on industry trends and legal changes, recommending adjustments to policies as necessary.
- Oversee recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring processes.
- Develop and implement employee onboarding and training programs.
- Partner with leadership to identify workforce planning needs and strategies.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including evaluations and career development plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters.
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts while ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Promote and oversee employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to improve retention.
- Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage laws.
- Administer health and welfare benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop competitive compensation and benefits strategies.
- Act as a strategic partner to the COO and leadership team on HR-related matters.
- Develop succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- Implement initiatives to enhance organizational culture and employee satisfaction.
- Lead HR-related projects and company-wide initiatives as required.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, including management-level responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- SHRM-SCP/SPHR or SHRM-CP/PHR preferred
