FTTH Install Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled fiber Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, as well as proficiency in computer networking. The Installation Technician will work closely with clients to ensure high-quality service delivery and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and demonstrate to the customer on understanding how everything works.
• Perform fiber splicing, run outlets, drops and ensure optimal connectivity for clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telephone systems and network connectivity.
• Utilize tools such as voltmeters, fiber splicer and meters to test electrical components and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently while adhering to company standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns during installations.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Experience

• Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar role is preferred but we are willing to train the people that show the willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and telecommunications equipment.
• Familiarity with computer networking principles and practices is essential.
• Experience working with routers and fiber splicing techniques is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Proficiency in using testing equipment such as a fiber splicer is preferred.

This is a full time position with an average work week being 60 plus hours, the pay piece rate and our average tech is making around $350.00 a day. Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 65 per week
