ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of employee workforce (recruitment, training, compensation, performance, communication, change management, accountability, evaluation, staffing, etc.).
- Develop and manage all HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures, ensuring that all procedures comply with federal and state payroll and labor regulations and best practices
- Oversee the successful continuation of The RED ZONE, Runnings’ Learning Management System.
- Develop and execute measurable talent management strategies, including performance evaluations, promotions, and succession planning.
- Ensure legal compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, standards and guidelines.
- Represent the company in complaints, lawsuits, and other employee relation activities as needed.
- Support managers in building teams and driving performance through recruiting assistance, training, development, and coaching.
- Actively participate in the analysis, review and renewal of the company’s employee benefit plans.
- Create and maintain job descriptions that are compliant with state and federal FLSA and ADA requirements.
- Oversee the administration of workers compensation programs.
- Work closely with Operations, Distribution, and Retail Support Managers to ensure equitable application of company policy and procedures for employees.
- Participate in executive, management and company meetings.
- Develop and manage HR staff, along with 3rd party consultants such as attorneys, trainers, and benefits administrators.
- Identify additional technology needs related to workforce management, payroll, and other HR functions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop and monitor annual budget that includes HR benefits, employee recognition, community giving and administration.
- Collaborate with management in controlling company labor costs.
- Conduct a continuing study of the effectiveness of all HR policies, programs, and practices and keep management informed of new developments.
