This position assists customers in our seasonal greenhouses, offering expertise on products and services. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, cashier duties, answering product-related questions, and maintaining a clean store environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet customers, assist with shopping, and respond to customer inquiries.
- Price merchandise and make changes as directed by management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested.
- Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products.
- Participate in cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Answer phone calls and handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Manage cash handling and customer returns.
Mental and Physical Requirements
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Stand for long periods and perform bending and twisting tasks.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Environment and Conditions
- Work in a retail store environment with varying temperatures and an irregular schedule.
Equipment and Tools
Utilize a computer, calculator, cash register-scanner, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, and software network.
