We are now looking for a passionate Quality Engineer!
Position Overview
In this position as Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality assurance in both the defense and commercial aspects of Runway Safe, Inc. Your role will include tasks such as taking responsibility for the maintenance of QA programs, part inspections, analysis and disposition of non-conforming materials, including determination of root cause and generation of corrective action plans. You will be responsible for collecting, compiling, and reporting data based on quality KPIs and responsibly for calibration and quality control procedures. You will also serve as the liaison between engineering and production to triage problems and proactively work on solving them. This role may require some travel, as you will work with suppliers on quality related issues.
Your profile
We are looking for you who have:
- Degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance and quality control
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control System procedures and techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpreting instructions whether they are written, verbal, or visually communicated
- Computer knowledge and skills with Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work independently and as a self-motivator
- Able to maintain positive communication and working relationships with different departments and outside vendors
- Practical problem-solving skills
It is seen as a plus if you have:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with ERP system
- Ability to facilitate and lead small teams
- Coordinating and compiling data collection
- Experience in ISO certification and audits
