Job Title: Laborer - Railcar Oil Processor and/or Cleaning Crew
Job Description:
This position is responsible for the loading/unloading and/or cleaning of trailers/railcars.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be required to:
- Load/Unload Trailers/Railcars and Transload from rail/trailer/tanks
- Transfer product
- Maintain hoses and equipment in proper working order and report when repairs or replacement are needed
- Retrieve product samples following proper procedures
- Cook product to proper temperatures
- Adjust pH to specifications
- Separate material (water, interphase, oil) to proper storage area
- Monitor all chemical levels and control inventory
- Neutralize waste water by adjusting pH to proper specifications
- Move waste water from cookers to vertical tank, separate material, neutralize & move to storage
- Saponifies soap-stock and moves material to railcar
- Run equipment in a safe manner and wear Protective Equipment at all times
- Maintain a productive working environment
- Heat Product
- Perform Inbound/Outbound Inspections
- Take pictures of entire trailer/car (External & Internal)
- Prepare product or material for movement out of railcar; this may include adding low pH water and/or steam
- Properly attach hoses and pumps to railcars/trailers to transfer product or material
- Power wash, spin, shovel inside of railcars using proper procedures
- Disconnect/close railcars/trailers and properly seal for transport
- Know GMP guidelines and follow proper procedures for food grade railcars
- Complete documentation legibly accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with management and team to ensure work is completed in timely manner
- Promote a safe work environment following company policy, safety rules and OSHA standards for the facility
- Consistently maintain a clean work environment per company and industry standards
- This position may require overtime and you must be available for nights, weekends and holidays.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual will possess the following knowledge, characteristics, skills and/or abilities:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to use power washer and other equipment
- Ability to work in confined spaces (railcar) for extended period of time
- Must be able to follow instructions & follow proper procedures
- Ability to properly hook up and disconnect hoses
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, and entering into confined spaces and elevated surfaces
- Climb ladders while maintaining 3 points of contact
- Required to exert up to 80 pounds of force regularly
- Thorough understanding of the MSDS’s, company safety policies / practices, and proper use of identified PPE which may involve protective clothing, sleeves, hard hats, foot protection, eye / ear protection, respirator use, etc.
- Physical environment requires the employee to work outside in all weather conditions
