Description
The Quality Superintendent manages total quality programs, policies, and initiatives. They are also responsible for identifying, analyzing, and developing improvements in productivity, quality, client relationships, and customer service.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between the facility and the USDA.
- Responsible for daily sanitation compliance.
- Monitor chemical usage and Master Sanitation Schedule
- Responsible for all GMP and SSOP training.
- Ensure all new equipment is evaluated for sanitation compliance.
- Ensure that all new supervisors go through all training requirements.
- Accountable for all new procedure and current procedure training.
- Accountable for quality supply inventory and ordering.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position supervises all techs, leads and supervisors within the QA department.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relative industry
- Previous experience in a food production environment
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory/lead experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.
- HACCP certification preferred
- SQF training preferred
