About This Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repairs of buildings and grounds to create a safe and healthy living environment.
- Daily, weekly, and quarterly routine inspections and replacements according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Accurate recording of all required tasks on the maintenance schedule and provision of this information to the Project Manager on a monthly basis.
- Ordering of maintenance supplies and inventory management.
- Preparation of units for occupancy by performing various tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, painting, patching, and replacement of windows, doors, door locks, and lights.
- Maintenance of walkways and parking areas to ensure they remain free of debris.
- Oversight of lawn and garden area maintenance and sprinkler system upkeep as instructed.
- Reporting of health and safety hazards, injuries, and accidents to the proper authorities and to the Property Manager and Maintenance Manager.
- Execution of rehabilitation plans and maintenance of property according to health and safety standards.
- Maintenance of work order logs and repair/reports filing systems.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- You must be able to work independently and make decisions without supervision.
- You should have experience with routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, landscaping, and appliances.
- You must be well-organized and possess excellent communication skills.
- You must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks.
- Possession of a valid California driver's license, good driving record, and automobile insurance per State requirements is necessary.
