About Our Job
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repairs of buildings and grounds to create a safe and healthy living environment.
- Daily, weekly, and quarterly routine inspections and replacements according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Accurate recording of all required tasks on the maintenance schedule and provision of this information to the Project Manager on a monthly basis.
- Ordering of maintenance supplies and inventory management.
- Preparation of units for occupancy by performing various tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, painting, patching, and replacement of windows, doors, door locks, and lights.
- Maintenance of walkways and parking areas to ensure they remain free of debris.
- Oversight of lawn and garden area maintenance and sprinkler system upkeep as instructed.
- Reporting of health and safety hazards, injuries, and accidents to the proper authorities and to the Property Manager and Maintenance Manager.
- Execution of rehabilitation plans and maintenance of property according to health and safety standards.
- Maintenance of work order logs and repair/reports filing systems.
What You'll Do
- Perform daily, weekly, and quarterly routine inspections and replacements according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Record accurately all such required tasks on the maintenance schedule and provide such maintenance schedule to the Project Manager on a monthly basis.
- Order maintenance supplies.
- Prepare units for occupancy (clean, disinfect, paint, patch, etc.); replace windows, doors, door locks; lights.
- Keep walkways parking areas free of debris.
- Overssee the maintenance of the lawns/garden areas and sprinkler systems as instructed
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Report health and safety hazards, injuries and accidents to the proper authorities and to the Property Manager and Maintenance Manager as soon as possible.
- Execution of rehabilitation plans.
- Maintain property according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain work order log and repair/reports filing system.
- Maintain a repairs/replacement file on the project and on each unit at the project.
- Maintain work order log in accordance with specification and repair/reports filing system.
- Solicit bids for necessary work as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Your Work Schedule
