This is a full time position, Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-6:30 pm.
POSITION SUMMARY
This individual provides primary health care to AH patients at assigned outpatient medical center and, in collaboration with the CQI Committee and the Clinical Care Coordinator, strives to achieve the best quality and efficiency of medical, nursing and laboratory services in the assigned center.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Provide direct medical services to AH patients to include diagnosis and treatment of illness and minor injuries, preventive and maintenance care (regular physical exams, immunizations, routine age-appropriate diagnostic testing, routine disease-specific laboratory testing, health education, etc.), and specialty care referrals.
§ Work not less than 40 hours a week for a full time position in the provision of primary medical care to AH patients.
§ Maintain productivity and quality of patient care.
§ Meet standards of conduct published in the most recent Personnel Policies/Employee Handbook in the performance of duties and at all times conduct self in accordance with such standards.
§ Exercise supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AH policies, procedures and applicable laws to include planning and directing work within assigned center, addressing complaints and work-related problems, and training by example and by suggestion/interaction and cooperative alliance with Clinical Care Coordinator.
§ Implement the corporate quality policy; assure clinical conformance to standards at the assigned center as observed and as informed by the CQI Committee.
§ Participate as needed in Center staff meetings to communicate, advise and provide assistance with the coordination of medical staffing, services, delivery and problem solving.
§ Meet with the Clinical Care Coordinator regularly to plan, communicate and coordinate inter-department services delivery and problem solve.
§ Communicate with the CMO as needed to coordinate planning and problem solving requiring corporate medical decisions and resources and to advise the CMO on issues concerning corporate policies and plans.
§ Participate in corporate strategic planning when requested and in special project planning that impact assigned center.
§ Represent the assigned center and the corporation at community events/functions as requested and when feasible.
§ Perform other related duties as necessary.
EDUCATION
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current CEU status
