Role and Responsibilities
This position will act as a liaison between the Rural Health Services, Inc. and the migrant and seasonal workers community. The Agricultural Worker Program Coordinator will maintain files, records and state and federal-mandated reports related to migrants and seasonal workers and their families. The AWPC will provide required information to Rural Health Services and Primary Care Association.
- Be knowledgeable of all federal and state regulations pertaining to the eligibility criteria for the identification and recruitment of migrant and seasonal workers and their families.
- Actively identify and recruit eligible migrants and seasonal workers residing in Aiken and surrounding areas on a year-round basis.
- Market health care services to eligible migrant and seasonal workers and their families.
- Attend required and periodic update trainings conducted by the South Carolina Primary Health Association and pertaining to the migrant Education Program.
- Record eligibility information for migrant and seasonal workers and their families within the required deadline, as well as registration and withdrawal services.
- Conduct site visits of migrant and seasonal workers.
- Collect and compile all required documents and reports accurately and promptly.
- Facilitate access to community resources of migrant and seasonal workers and their families.
- Assist in the coordination of health care services
- Provide or coordinate services that would remove barriers to health care.
- Provide outreach/enabling services to migrant and seasonal workers and their families.
- Coordinate evening (after 5pm) health clinics (medical and dental) and mobile camp clinics during peak farming season
- Provide educational sessions and materials to migrant and seasonal workers and their families.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
1. Proficient in the use of computers and in the use of Microsoft Office
2. A minimum 2 years of higher education and two years of similar or related work experience

7. Good oral and written communication skills
8. Bi-lingual
