As a Patient Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless scheduling process, helping patients access the care they need while supporting our healthcare providers in optimizing their schedules.
The Role: What to Expect
- Location: Based in our Fargo, ND office.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative teams to coordinate efficient patient scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule patient appointments, optimizing provider availability.
- Patient Communication: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with scheduling inquiries and appointment-related concerns.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date appointment records while adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Coordination & Follow-Up: Ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating follow-up care and rescheduling as needed.
- Insurance & Demographics: Accurately input and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
- Telehealth Support: Maintain a thorough understanding of telehealth technologies to facilitate virtual appointments.
- Administrative Support: Assist with additional scheduling and clerical tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in scheduling appointments, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
