As a Revenue Cycle Manager, you will lead our revenue management team to ensure accurate and efficient billing operations, reduce claim denials, maximize reimbursement, and improve cash flow-helping sustain and expand mental health services in underserved areas.
The Role: What to Expect
- Location: Based in our Grand Forks, ND office. Travel will be required to other RPA locations.
- Leadership & Strategy: Oversee the revenue cycle team and implement best practices for efficient billing and collections.
- Billing & Reimbursement Optimization: Develop processes to minimize denials and enhance revenue recovery.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure adherence to medical billing regulations and coding standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize the revenue cycle to improve cash flow and reduce days in accounts receivable (AR).
- Lead, train, and mentor all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, claims processing, denials management, billing, and collections.
- Oversee the accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance providers.
- Stay informed on industry changes, regulations, and payer requirements across all serviced states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines in all revenue cycle activities through research and analysis.
- Monitor claims processing, denials, and appeals, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate and analyze revenue cycle performance reports, including claims status, aging, payment trends, and denial rates.
- Provide regular reports to senior management regarding revenue cycle metrics and financial forecasts.
- Work closely with providers, finance, management, and executive teams to streamline revenue cycle operations.
- Provide support, education, mentoring, and training to other departments regarding billing and coding procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, health information management or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 5 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), insurance reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with medical billing software, EHR systems, and revenue cycle analytics tools.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze revenue cycle data and implement process improvements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
