What you’ll need to be our Family Educator:
Congenial and cooperative with an efficient, precise work ethic
Detail-oriented with a positive response to pressure and changing activities
Enthusiastic, socially-focused, and service-oriented team worker
Home based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree

Starting wage at $18.36 per hour (additional education will be considered in the final pay rate)

What you’ll do as the Family Educator:
Actively locate and inform families within the recruitment area of the availability of program services and provide encouragement and assistance in applying for admission into the program
Support child and family well-being, including safety, health, and economic stability, to assist in child learning and development, as well as to foster parental confidence and skills that promote early learning and development
Maintain a safe, secure, welcoming, and fun learning environment for children and families through activities that support parent-child relationships and child development
Generate, collect, verify, and submit in-kind contributions to meet matching requirements and comply with all regulations

Rural Utah Child Development (RUCD) is a comprehensive child development program designed to meet the educational, emotional, social, and health needs of children. The RUCD team works well together to provide strong support and leadership, creating a consistent and quality learning environment. Children receive individualized lesson plans with developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and families are involved with their children’s education while they receive assistance with personal goals, parenting information, and leadership through parent committees and Policy Council.
