The Lead Technician performs a dual role, works as a technician performing repair work as needed to ensure timely completion of service; and as a shift supervisor to ensure qualified technicians perform repairs correctly and efficiently and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :
- Assist employees with questions and resolution of technical work problems.
- Provide training on an as need basis, appraise employee performance, reward and discipline them when warranted, and address complaints, and solve problems.
- Assist the Service Manager in screening employee candidates, conducting interviews, and hiring.
- Assist technicians in developing their skills and ensure assigned personnel receive appropriate manufacturer's training.
- Greet customers, communicate clearly and professionally any changes in repair(s) that would affect cost and / or delivery expectations.
- Perform all necessary diagnostic and documentation functions on the company computer system.
- Schedule repair work and assigns technician(s) to mechanical segments that match their skill level to ensure quality.
