Pay Range : $27.47 - $43.27 per hour

Summary :
The Bereavement Counselor LCSW will be a core member of Cook County Health Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Team and will report to the Section Chief of Palliative Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. This position will provide bereavement services for patients and families served by CCHHS and bereavement support to the interdisciplinary team and hospital personnel, as needed. The Bereavement Counselor provides on-site and follow-up (both in person and via telephone) clinical interventions / consultations for patients and families, including children, around grief and loss. Required Job Qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Social Work required.
- Current State of Illinois licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
- At least three years of related experience in bereavement counseling and health care required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
