Pay Range : 18.87 - 29.73

Summary :
This role will provide care and oversight of the broad patient population seen across the Diagnostic Services areas. This role will support the efficient operation of the department by transporting and / or directing patient flow and by ensuring patients are properly prepped and readied for their exam. This role also performs ECGs for the ED and inpatient population. As a Diagnostic Services Technologist, understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care in regards to their growth and development process. The position actively supports the Hospital's and Department's Continuous Quality Improvement and customer service goals, individually and as an effective team member. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications :
- Formal Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) training and certification is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good typing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism while working in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
- Should have experience with computerized office systems, medical records documentation, patient confidentiality regulations, and medical terminology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus.
- Competency in IV starts.
