Job Summary:
Rusken Packaging of Spartanburg, a manufacturing facility specializing in corrugated packaging and corrugated pallets, is seeking multiple Machine Assistants to support various operations within the facility. The ideal candidate will assist in tasks such as machine set ups and tear downs, ensure quality requirements are being met, along with learning to operate machine when lead operator is out.

Job Duties include but not limited to :
- Set up machinery according to machine specific procedures.

- Load raw material into the machines and ensure that material is fed into machine correctly.

- Make necessary adjustments during set up and run to ensure quality work.

- Monitor quality throughout the production run. Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature, dimension, pressure, register settings.

- Complete box quality check that is required on each run.

- May be required to stack parts up to 50 lbs.

- Standing required for periods of up to 12 hours.

- Follow all safety policies and procedures including Lock out / Tag out.

- Enter production data into the computer.

- Counting and stacking finished product.

- Ensure correct unit configuration per customer requirements.

- Report any type of significant or major mechanical failure to the department supervisor or Plant Manager immediately.

- Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, etc.

- Ensuring that clean housekeeping procedures are followed. This includes blowing down the machine, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping machine or work area, and picking up miscellaneous scrap.

- Work overtime as required.

- Other duties may be assigned.

Skills:
-Basic knowledge of machining processes.
- Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16".
- Corrugated experience is preferred.
- Rotary Die Cutter experience is a plus.
- Prior Quality experience is a plus.
- Ability to read micrometers.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
