Summary
As a Used Car Technician/Mechanic, your role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining used vehicles to prepare them for sale, with a focus on performing thorough safety inspections. Equipped with advanced tools and equipment, you'll address mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately, adhering to manufacturer and dealership standards. While prior automotive experience is preferred, formal shop experience is not required. We provide continuous training throughout your career!
Responsibilities
- Execute maintenance and repair tasks as outlined in work orders with efficiency, ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems, to meet specifications.
- Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to evaluate vehicle components and systems.
- Perform safety inspections on used cars that were bought by the store, being as thorough as possible.
- Clearly communicate mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers in an easy-to-understand, non-technical manner.

- Previous shop experience preferred, but not required
- Automotive background
- Teamwork skills and a can-do attitude
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a drug test and background screening
