What You'' Do
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Work independently and as a team to drive maximum repair efficiency.
- Consistently and concisely detail and document repairs to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time.
- Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to Service Advisors and Customers.
- Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Continue ongoing training to stay abreast of the new technology and techniques on the vehicle model lines.
What You'll Bring
- Proven diesel experience as an Automotive Technician preferred.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Team oriented, flexible, high energy and focused on maintaining a high level of Customer Service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Vocational/Technical or certfication preferred.
- Regularly required to: sit, stand, walk, use hands, arms to handle, feel, reach, speak, hear, use close vision abilities and operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license.
- Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50lbsm stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Noise level: low to moderate.
