How You’ll Contribute
The Virtual Design Construction Manager will use the latest construction technologies to enable internal and external project teams to communicate, visualize, and discover operational improvements – Optimize the use of 3D visualizations to preemptively identify constructability issues, design coordination inefficiencies and assist field teams in utilizing the latest technologies.

Responsibilities
- Provide support and technical assistance in the management of construction services from bid preparation through final close-out.
- Establish project guidance for BIM Execution Planning.
- Review models for accuracy against contract documents and perform internal QA/QC checks for constructability review.
- Prepare and lead collaborative sessions with the Russell team, external designers, engineers, subcontractors, owner representatives, and field leaders.
- Work with superintendents to create site logistics models and drawings for field verification, safety, and implementation.
- Create “4D” construction sequencing animations per internal construction schedules and critical paths.
- Validate model-based quantity take-offs to verify estimates.
- Review and ensure models are updated for as-built conditions.
- Transfer, manage, and confirm the completeness of “Electronic Data” from multiple sources and formats.
- Document technology utilization for lessons learned and process improvements.
- Implement new technology, optimize workflows, and support staff through mentorship.
- Travel to project job sites to provide assistance and training for field crews in the utilization of BIM, reality capture, and future technology.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- 5 years of BIM Design or Construction experience. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction; technology, equipment, means and methods, engineering, and safety is required.
- Must be able to read and understand contract documents and drawings and understand the documentation procedures, contracts, and specifications.
- Exceptional computer skills and familiarity with the Autodesk AEC Collection of Revit, Naviworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud – Build, Takeoff, BIM Collaborate & Docs, Civil 3D, 3ds Max, drones, laser scanning, photogrammetry, and game engines (Unity or Unreal) a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective negotiation, team building, problem-solving, mathematical and analytical skills required.
- Must possess exceptional organization skills and keen attention to detail, deadlines and accuracy.
