What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Russell Herder?
Russell Herder is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented assistant project manager to work in a creative agency environment. In this role you will work directly with the Senior Project Manager in support of multiple team members – including creative, social, digital, web, content, planning and client services. This role supports our team with tracking all aspects of work related to high quality advertising and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Manage creative projects independently and complex projects with guidance from senior management
- Work closely with Sr. Project Manager across agency teams to keep a diverse portfolio of projects on track through clear task lists, project timelines, and managing of creative resources
- Facilitate data entry in project management systems, including project schedules, resource assignments, purchase orders, etc.
- Assist with the maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, meeting agendas, status reports, and meeting notes documenting key stakeholder decisions
- Foster cross functional collaboration across all internal teams to manage project timelines and allocation of resources across multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to navigate constraints, shifting priorities, and conflicting deadlines to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery in an agile environment
- Assist in the development and implementation of processes to facilitate project and process efficiency
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or related field
· 2-4 years of project or production coordinator/manager experience (agency experience preferred)
· Flexible, solution oriented, nimble, and able to thrive in collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment with lots of moving parts
· General knowledge of project management processes and software such as Monday.com, Asana, Workfront, etc.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills and exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Suite
