Dietary Assistant in Kitchen (Full Time)
JOB SUMMARY: Performs various tasks related to cleaning and sanitation. Washes pots/pans/utensils/dishes according to established procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Collects and disposes of trash and garbage. Keeps work area neat and clean. Does daily and weekly cleaning following cleaning schedules. Handles and stores food and supplies according to guidelines. Disposes of garbage. Keeps carts cleaned and sanitized. Performs organizing, straightening, cleaning, stocking, sweeping, and mopping. Delivers and retrieves trays according to policy. Delivers floor stock. Does dishwashing (pots and pans/3-comp sink, dish machine per policy). Does shift opening and closing responsibilities along with various cafeteria duties including serving, stocking, cleaning. Cross trains for other positions.
SUPERVISED BY: Director, Supervisor, Chef, Coordinator
Full Time with Benefits
Shifts vary but include 6a-2:30p and 9:30a-6p
Minimum Qualifications:
A) Education: High School Diploma or GED required
B) Six months in food related area preferred, but not required
C) Licenses, Certification and/or Registrations: None required
D) Equipment, Tools, Work Aids: Various kitchen equipment
E) Specialized Knowledge and Skills: None required
