Housekeeping Aide in Emergency Dept (Full Time 1st Shift)
Job Summary: Provides preventative and corrective cleaning in patient rooms, nursing areas, ancillary departments, offices, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells and other areas using established cleaning procedures and chemicals.
High dust ledges, disinfect horizontal surfaces, fixtures and furniture, empty and clean waste baskets and replace liners, vacuum carpets, clean surgical rooms as needed, dry mop and mop floors, empty outside waste containers and pickup debris from grounds, spray buff floors/top scrubs floors/ strip floors, wash walls as needed, pickup and package regulated medical waste, empty soiled linen hampers as needed and place in soil utility room, and perform other duties as needed or as directed by supervisor.
Minimum qualifications: Tenth grade reading ability. Knowledge of standard housekeeping equipment including electrical buffers, vacuums and others. Cleaning tile floors, carpet, and vinyl baseboards, corners, etc.
**Will clean in the Emergency Department primarily

Monday-Friday Sat/Sun as needed
7:00am-3:30pm
