What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acute Care Supervisor (Full Time) position at Russell Medical?
Coordinates day-to-day unit activities, including patient care. Coordinates and supervises unit level personnel performance and education activities. Promotes improvement of patient flow, patient satisfaction, quality care, staff satisfaction and efficiency. Provides professional nursing care as needed in accordance with medical plan of care. Also, assists with providing education and compliance on accreditation standards and topics required by regulatory agencies. Works in conjunction with the Nursing Supervisor and Director of Acute Care to maintain staff competency.
SUPERVISED BY: Director of Acute Care and/or Nursing Supervisor
SUPERVISES: Registered Nurse, LPN and Tech/Secretary
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years experience in acute care preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Current Alabama Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Patient therapeutic equipment/machines or their reasonable accommodation
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of appropriate patient population growth and development
