Is responsible for the operations of the Quality Department, including Case Management, and Infection Prevention.
Ensures that all aspects of quality within the organization are designed, implemented and evaluated at least annually. Responsible for directing and coordinating regulatory and accreditation functions, ensuring appropriate preparation, for agencies such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Alabama Hospital Association, and/or the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and to formulate responses to accreditation findings and inquiries. Supports all departments through a variety of quality education, CMS or payor standard’s interpretation and care implementation. Facilitates Patient Satisfaction/Experience and Risk teams as needed. Encourages and develops a quality focused environment throughout the organization. - EDUCATION: BSN required, MS preferred
- EXPERIENCE: Nursing, and/or Quality leadership
- LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Valid, unencumbered AL Registered Nurse License
- EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Office equipment, computer system.
- SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: knowledge of management/leadership skills; Failure Mode Effectiveness Assessment (FMEA); principles and mechanism of leading a process improvement activity.
