Russell-Murray Hospice is looking for a motivated LPN to join our On-Call Team to provide care and compassion to our patients and their families in a time when they need it the most. Duties of the On-Call Hospice Nurse include triaging calls, providing continuous care, attending deaths, serving 75-mile radius of El Reno Office. The ideal candidate should have a valid Oklahoma Nursing License (LPN), hospice or home health experience, ability to cope with family emotional stress and provide empathetic support in difficult situations. If you have previous experience in hospice, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful On-Call Hospice Nurse will Provide RMH patients with dignified care and compassionate support, while triaging effectively, arriving promptly, utilizing technical nursing skills to provide patients with needed interventions and documenting timely.

- Will be paid guaranteed 40 hours - will be paid for all hours worked over 40.

- Serve a 75-mile radius of El Reno Office (Four offices located in El Reno, Kingfisher, Weatherford, Oklahoma City)
- Must have a reliable vehicle and carry personal auto insurance.
Responsibilities:
- The On-Call Nurse will report to the On-Call Supervisor and the Administrator On-Call
- The On-Call Nurse is responsible for providing palliative and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families after office hours.
- To triage and prioritize calls according to severity and need.
- To provide continuous care to patients for symptom management or when death is imminent.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families when questions arise.
- On-Call reports will be completed by 8:30a each day.
Requirements:
- A valid Oklahoma Nursing License (LPN)
- Reliable vehicle and personal auto insurance
- Hospice or Home Health experience (preferred but not required)
Nice to have:
- On-Call Hospice Nurse experience
- Experience charting in an electronic medical records system
