What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respite Worker position at Russell Nesbitt Services Inc.?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Respite provider will provide temporary substitute care normally provided by a family member or a Specialized Family Care Provider. The service may be provided in the member's family residence, a Specialized Family Care Home, a licensed day program facility and public community locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and criminal background check.
- Valid driver's license required
- High School diploma or GED preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required to become AMAP certified.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend literature which may be of a technical nature and perform basic mathematical computations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures health and safety of consumer; ensures delivery of quality, professional care.
- Submission of all consumer documentation, including time sheets and program forms in/on the required
- Maintains and promotes positive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, administration, and external contacts.
- Maintains and promotes a positive, professional, consumer-focused work environment in furtherance of agency's mission.
- Must maintain training and certification as per agency, licensure and funding source requirements.
- Attends regularly scheduled agency meetings as required
- Other duties as needed.
