Russell Square (RS) is a multi-state developer and licensed general contractor with employees currently based in five states in the western half of the United States. We specialize in multifamily development and are responsible for all phases of the real estate development process from site selection to lease-up. Our current pipeline consists of 2300 apartments slated to begin construction over the coming 14 months in various states.
Job Description
Assists and reports to the Project Manager in ensuring the project is completed within budget and on schedule safely, and with a high degree of quality. The Project Engineer is the technical expert for a project and works with the Project Manager, Superintendent, Design Team, Field Operations, and Owner, and is directly responsible for management of subcontractors organized by building systems, and project processes.
Role And Responsibilities
Create, manage and track RFI’s from the field to the Architect/Engineer of record.
Permit process assistance
Bid Package / Procurement Assistance
Change management tracking including creation, Forecasting, and negotiation
Material Delivery Tracking
Maintain/update project records, project documentation, and document control.
Coordinate and maintain special inspection documentation.
Assist the Project Manager/Superintendent in creating, updating, and distributing the project schedule.
Understand Project Plans, Contract Documents, and Specifications.
Study Job Specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
In charge of reviewing and checking submittals/details from subcontractors prior to submitting to A/E.
Understands appropriate building codes/regulations
Conducts, creates, documents, and distributes meeting minutes
Assists the project team with Site Safety Documentation and coordination.
Assist the project team with Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Assist the project team with documenting job progress using photos and as-builts.
Project close out assistance.
Assist Project Accountant and Project Manager with reviewing and approving monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.
Assist Project Manager with assigned tasks.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant work and product type experience
Proficiency in plan reading
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficient with Construction software programs (i.e., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, BuilderTrend, etc.)
Intermediate to advanced level capability with MS Office applications
CAD and Revit experience and knowledge

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
