A day in the life…
As a Service employee, you will have a direct role in the chocolate production process from beginning to end. You are responsible for ensuring each piece of candy that comes out of our facility is "Only the Finest" quality that our customers have grown to expect. On a daily basis, you will be expected to package, inspect, and palletize product. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and safe work area, collaborate with other team members, and perform cross functional training.
What you will be doing…

- Operating machinery, equipment, and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines and instructions.
- Working with product. Inspecting, receiving, delivering, securing, and maintaining product (raw or finished) per Russell Stover Chocolates guidelines.
- Inspecting finished candy as it exits cooling tunnels; transfers candy from conveyor belt to trays and places trays in steels.
- Monitoring candy weight, seals and secures boxes, transfers to pallet.
- Maintaining records, delivering, inspecting, and performing all activities required of other members of the area, line or team.
- Performing clean-up activities as assigned.
- May be assigned other duties by plant management as required.
- Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
- Learning to Identify and address potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
- Documenting food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.

(Basic Qualifications)
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, and lift overhead.
- Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for the duration of a 10-hour shift.

(Preferred Qualifications)
- 2 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and understand rulers, tapes, scales, and thermometers.
- Ability to read and understand product specifications established by Russell Stover Chocolates and recognize deviations from those specifications.
- Experience operating a scan gun.
- A passion for learning.
