We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD System Coordinator to enhance the production efficiency of the design team. In this role, you will leverage your advanced CAD expertise and knowledge of Engineering Technology tools to support and optimize design processes. By applying the latest National CAD Standards, you will customize CAD workflows and systems, ensuring streamlined operations. Your strong organizational skills, ability to manage tasks effectively, and collaborative communication style will be key to your success.
This is a direct hire/permanent position based in either the Portland/Vancouver or Billings area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide CAD production support to internal design teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards and best practices.
- Organize and optimize the CAD environment to boost efficiency.
- Offer technical support for CAD software and tools.
- Manage plotting and electronic file submissions.
- Collaborate with clients to establish project coordination standards.
- Oversee CAD vendor relationships and software management.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Design Drafting preferred; candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in CAD coordination and/or drafting within an engineering environment.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Autodesk file management systems (Vault & Docs).
- Extensive experience with Autodesk CAD tools: AutoCAD, Plant 3D, ReCap, Navisworks, Revit (2016 or newer).
- Familiarity with Intergraph CAD systems (CADWorx Plant, Structure, Equipment).
- Knowledge of Faro 3D Laser Scanning software (Scene & Sphere).
- Experience with electronic file transfer platforms (FTP, SharePoint).
- Skilled in Navisworks Manage for multidisciplinary coordination.
- Basic understanding of network technologies, platforms, and Microsoft applications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM programming languages (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience with BIM coordination (preferred but not required).
