Global Supply Chain Manager

Russell Tobin Associates is currently seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager. This is a 12 months contract with potential for extension/conversion for successful contractors!

Position: Global Supply Chain Manager

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Pay rate: $48.00-50.00/hr on w2

JOB SUMMARY:

Key job responsibilities (Duties):

• The Global Supply and Sourcing Manager (GSSM) Role is responsible to determine sourcing strategy for equipment, negotiate best total cost of ownership, ensure on->me delivery, and manage vendor relationships.
• Seeking an experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Professional to join the Capex GSSM team.
• Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing.
• Understand the trade- offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
• Collaborate across the organization, (Engineering, Operations, Global Supply Management teams) to ensure business objectives are met.
• Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply risks that can affect product strategy.
• Optimize supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, and build should-cost models to drive best-in-class pricing.
• Assess and mitigate risks to the business.
• Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience in fast-paced procurement and supply chain environment
• Knowledge in global supplier development and management in a multinational environment Strong communication, presentation, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Experience and talent in negotiation
• Ability to handle sudden setbacks in a dynamic environment
• Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS 3 years of relevant experience, Masters or MBA is a plus
