About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Royalty Tracking Analyst to join our team on a temporary basis to provide coverage during a team member's maternity leave. This position supports the North American Income Tracking & Analytics team, focusing on data collection, royalty analysis, and trend tracking across multiple revenue streams in the music industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and format data from various sources including income statements, streaming platforms, and performing rights organizations.
- Maintain large datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all entries.
- Perform music consumption analysis to identify patterns and industry trends.
- Conduct research on works and sound recordings.
- Analyze income and royalty data from sources such as streaming services, record labels, and PROs in the U.S. and Canada.
- Address client queries related to royalty reporting and assist with ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) matching.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to adapt to new software tools quickly.
- Comfortable handling and analyzing large datasets.
- Working knowledge of music publishing and royalty processes is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a highly organized approach to work.
- Curious and proactive mindset with solid research and problem-solving abilities.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
