What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regulatory Reporting Analyst position at Russell Tobin?
The Regulatory Reporting Analyst will be responsible for preparing a range of regulatory reports across all entities under the Combined U.S. Operations. This role requires a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, regulatory reporting standards, and financial industry practices. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely report submission to regulatory authorities while coordinating with various internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc regulatory reports, including but not limited to:
- Federal Reserve Reports: FR Y-15, FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009, FFIEC 019, FR 2644, FR 2900
- Department of Treasury Reports: TIC Reports
- Department of Commerce Reports: BE-605, BE-15, BE-125
- Reconcile reporting data to the General Ledger, validate static data, and perform variance analyses
- Monitor updates to reporting instructions and accounting standards, and ensure timely implementation within internal reports
- Maintain and update documentation related to existing and new regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
- Track assigned tasks and projects to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Collaborate effectively with various internal teams and departments
- Provide support to management and team members as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Accounting major preferred)
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial or regulatory reporting
- Working knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting or financial reporting
- Familiarity with financial instruments such as loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, repos, and money market products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience in business intelligence tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) is a plus
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Big 4 or large regional accounting firms, with exposure to banking or capital markets clients
- Experience in financial accounting, product control, or regulatory reporting in the banking industry
- US CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional license is a strong plus
***Pay Rate- $50-$53/hour
