Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Type: Permanent
Rate: $90k to 110k/PA
Summary:
We are seeking a high-potential, results-oriented Senior Accountant to manage both routine and complex financial accounting activities. This role will focus on driving process improvements, supporting management in making effective business decisions, and ensuring proper accounting practices and internal controls. The position is responsible for reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and financial reporting accuracy. Strong analytical skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Prepare and ensure accuracy in journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger accounts
- Collaborate with business partners and assist with external audits
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies in accounting operations
- Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or CMA certification
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
