Senior Civil Engineer

What are we looking for in our Senior Civil Engineer?

Our client, an electric utility company, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects that support the company's electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Pay Rate Range: $50 - $80/hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Project Design and Management: Leading the design and management of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Expertise: Providing advanced technical guidance on civil engineering matters, including structural analysis, site development, and infrastructure improvements.
• Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Quality Assurance: Overseeing the preparation and review of engineering plans, specifications, and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Mentorship: Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments and stakeholders.
