What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimator position at Russell Tobin?
Looking for Sr. Estimator to be responsible for the preparation of full estimates on Ground-up retail projects .
Roles & Responsibilities :
Chief Estimator doing larger bids now and needs someone to take over these $10M - $30M bids
Manages the bidding process and develops the full scope of work from the bid documents for GC projects.
Attends walkthroughs with Clients and Subcontractors to determine field conditions.
Discusses scope of work with Subcontractors.
Analyzes Subcontractor proposals and qualifies their scope of work.
Negotiates final contract price with Subcontractors as required.
Holds buyout meetings with Construction to discuss bid upon award of jobs.
Prepares RFI’s for any contradictions in the bid documents.
Qualification Required :
10 years’ estimating experience with a general contractor (retail construction preferred) or developer and understand all trades.
Familiarity with open store renovations, new fit-out projects and site work.
Capable of bidding multiple projects at a time and working with tight deadlines. Excellent time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to learn or utilize onscreen takeoff and quick-bid and be competent in all Microsoft applications specifically Excel.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
